Eventhough The Hague might be less popular than Amsterdam or Rotterdam, there sure are plenty of amazing (new) restaurants offering honest, healthy food. One of those is Pistache Cafe on the Prinsenstraat, right next to the Palace Noordeinde and the palace garden.Pistache Cafe makes it their mission to serve clean, organic food that is fresh and tasty, healthy as well as naughty. It is a modern day diner open for breakfast and lunch, serving healthy classics like avocado on toast, acai bowls, salads but also French toast, waffles, panini’s and more.
My friend and I visited Pistache Cafe on a warm Sunday for Brunch. Both of us ordered the “Chocokokos Waffles”- a coconut waffle with dark chocolate and mango. It tasted as good as it sounded, and it looked even better!
To compensate the waffles, I had a freshly pressed carrot and orange juice with ginger- delicous! Pistache Cafe has a nice terrace on the street, great for people watching. If you prefer a more quiet place, pick up a picnic basket at the cafe and head into the Palace Gardens for a nice picnic! Love this idea and I will be back to try it out.
Pistache Cafe has a lovely interior with loads of natural tints. A touch of green comes back in the menu, as well as in paintings and frames and decorative pillows in the restaurant itself. It gives the place a nice trendy atmosphere while still being homely and relaxed. I wish I took pictures to show you but we stayed outside to enjoy the sun for so long I forgot! But if this post made you curious definitely go check it out for yourself! X
